Zhenzhong Chen received the B.Eng. degree from Huazhong University of Science and Technology and the Ph.D. degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, both in electrical engineering. He is currently a Professor at Wuhan University (WHU). His current research interests include image and video processing, computer vision, multimedia data mining, human-computer interaction, photogrammertry and remote sensing, etc. He has been a VQEG board member and Immersive Media Working Group Co-Chair, a Selection Committee Member of ITU Young Innovators Challenges, an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology (TCSVT), Journal of the Association for Information Science and Technology (JASIST), Journal of Visual Communication and Image Representation and Editor of IEEE IoT Newsletters. He has been selected for the Thousand Talents Plan for Young Professionals, as a recipient of the CUHK Young Scholars Dissertation Award, the CUHK Faculty of Engineering Outstanding Ph.D. Thesis Award, Microsoft Fellowship, etc. He is an IEEE senior member.
